Saying goodbye to roomies... :/

Last night I said goodbye to my wonderful three roommates. I have a special relationship with each of them, so it was sad to say goodbye. I know it will not be goodbye forever, as I have made life long friends! However, it was the end of my college career and I will never be living with any of them again....hence the tears.

So the story? We went out to eat at the Livery, super delicious by the way, and then headed back home to play the game Things. If you haven't played it, you should, because it is very fun! We were enjoying ourselves, but my roommate Elly had some homework to do. Because of this, I handed them each a letter that I had written a few days before saying goodbye and telling them how great they are. After they each read their letter sitting on our living room floor, because I had moved our coffee table out already, I hugged each of them. When it was time to hug Elly, who I have a very close relationship with and have lived with the longest (3 years), I began to sob. I was a very ugly crier in this moment. In fact, I got mascara all over Elly's scarf. Cool, right? Well what I was not expecting was that when I got home a few hours ago, I was telling my mom this, and I began to cry again. Oh, man! In this moment, I knew that the airport will also be seeing some of my mascara run down my face! Better invest in some water proof! :)

Over all, as sad as it was, I am mostly just greatful having lived with three awesome people! I don't think many people can say that they lived with their best friends, so I love all of you so much. You made college for me, and without you, I don't know what I would have done. Here's to the next chapter in our life! P.S. Good luck being a super senior, Ash ;)

I will end with thanking Noodles, because it was the origin of CAKE. xoxo

Starting my blog!

Hi everyone :) I am excited to announce that I decided to blog about my adventures in Rome! I am currently in my student teaching semester at UW-Eau Claire. So far, I was teaching in an 8th grade placement and I am very excited to be done with that and moving on to 1st grade in Rome! I am getting very anxious and also nervous because I have had this planned for almost a year and a half and now it is only 2 and 1/2 weeks away! I cannot believe it. Not only am I leaving the United States, but I will be done with college....seriously how did that even happen?! I thought it was just yesterday that I was living in the dorms. Time flies.

Anywho, please use this blog to keep in touch with me! I will try to write as often as possible about my experiences- the good, the bad, the ugly, the hilarious, the amazing and everything in between. I am also hoping to post pictures as not everyone in my family has facebook (ahemmm Mom). Please email, comment, or stay in touch with my when I am gone. I love you all so much!
